ABOUT

My name is Aggie. I live in Hermosa Beach, California, and I am a mother, teacher, editor, and writer. Under the Doorway began many years ago when I was living in Utah. I was drawn to communities of writers not only because of the conduit that writing creates between vulnerability and human connection, but also because I found the experience of a sharing one's work beautifully disarming and deeply therapeutic.

I live near the ocean, and I find that the salt air often reminds me to breathe deeply. When we are able to breathe in this way, we welcome a sacred space in which anything can come. Please join me for Sea Writing, or any of the other courses offered throughout the year.
